Description
Presented for you today is a modern era Winchester 1886 chambered in .45-70 Govt. Turnbull Restoration performed a number of conversions and upgrades for the original owner a handful of years ago, and now this unique lever action rifle is back in-house and awaiting its new home.
Metal work performed by Turnbull Restoration includes conversion from 26” barrel to 18” rust blued barrel, color case hardened receiver, lever, hammer forend cap and crescent butt plate, along with charcoal blued small parts.
Wood work includes hand refinishing of buttstock and forend in classic Winchester red, along with hand re-checkering. The wood shows minor handling marks, but is in overall excellent condition.
Includes original box and documents.
