USRAC (Winchester) Model 1895

Description

This rifle is an example of a “new rifle made to look old”.  Using a recent/modern production USRAC (Winchester) Model 1895 as a base gun, we have completely re-worked this rifle to look as though it came out of the Winchester Factory circa the early 1900’s. 

The Winchester Model 1895 was a favorite hunting rifle of Theodore Roosevelt, and it was Roosevelt who coined the famous phrase “Big Medicine” when describing his Model 1895 chambered in the 405 Winchester.

Work to this rifle includes:

• Bone charcoal Color Case Hardening on the receiver
• Stock re-finish to original Winchester color
• Addition of factory H-pattern checkering
• Silvers recoil pad
