Great business for finding old colt 1911 parts
Carl –
This is a good option if you have an original 1911 (not 1911A1) slide and want an original-style front sight. The part is tiny and blued, like the original, but the blade is not tapered like some originals I have seen. I personally don’t mind the square blade. The staked attachment method is terrible, but the fault for that one is with Mr. Browning or the Colt company 110+ years ago. Unfortunately these may not be made anymore; hopefully someone will pick up the baton if so.
