Turnbull Model 1911 WWI with A Coverage Engraving – PAST PRODUCT – No Longer for Sale

Description
These WWI-style Turnbull Model 1911s feature a touch of classic American scroll hand engraving with our “A” (25%) coverage, derived from the early 20th century Colt 1911s engraved by Rudolph Kornbrath. The splashes of elegant scroll work adorn the top and sides of the slide, as well as select areas on the frame, enhancing rather than overwhelming the clean lines of our 1911 pistol. This style of hand engraving is cleanly cut with fine line shading, providing a subtle decorative touch under our classic charcoal blue finish.
With all Model 1911s built by Turnbull Restoration, customers have been drawn to the marriage of restoration-grade artisanship with new gun production. This is a great opportunity to add to your collection a period-faithful piece with all the benefits of new production.

James Caldwell –
I got one of these fine firearms last year. It was a show special. I was very pleased at its looks and detail to a original 1911 of this era.
Great craftmanship, no mim parts that I see.
I am also very pleased at the accuracy and reliability of this gun.
To put it short, the 1911 looks as good as it shoots and shouldnt sit in a safe.
Sara Turnbull –
Thanks, James! You’re correct, we don’t use any MIM parts. Glad to hear you’re happy with your pistol!
