The design that marked the beginning of John Moses Browning’s 20-year collaboration with Winchester endures, and we’re proud to offer our expression of the 1885 High Wall chambered in .45-70.
Starting with a factory-new Winchester 1885 Traditional Hunter High Grade, we apply our signature bone charcoal color case hardening process to the receiver, lever, hammer and crescent butt plate. In addition, we refinish the 28″ full octagon barrel in traditional rust blue. We haven’t forgotten the small parts, as we charcoal blue the Marble’s gold bead front sight and buckhorn rear sight as well. And last but not least, we refinish the upgraded walnut stocks in a hand-rubbed oil finish to match Winchester’s classic red shading.
