This is the Turnbull Commander Heritage Model 1911, as featured and reviewed by Gun Digest and Handloader. This pistol was introduced in 2016, improving on our previous 1911 pistol. It is still modeled after the iconic Colt Model 1911. The Commander models come standard with Beavertail grip safety, steel parts, blue finished slide, Double Diamond Walnut grips, Commander style hammer and standard 4.25” barrel. The new Commander Heritage standard model now comes with Color Case Hardened frame, Checkered Front Strap and Tritium Kensights. Every Turnbull manufactured firearm is 100% hand fit and American made, and has several options that are available upon request.
