This Springfield 1911 has been completely restored by Turnbull Restoration & Manufacturing Co., to the condition it left Springfield Armory in 1914. With only about 30,000 original WWI era 1911’s made at Springfield Armory, this is one of the “tough ones to find” for collectors and fans of the 1911.
Restoration work included: complete metal polish, restoration of all frame and slide markings, including all the small parts stamped with the small ‘S’ signifying manufacture and assembly at Springfield Armory. The stocks are new, made to original military specifications. The magazine is the correct “folded tabs bottom”, lanyard loop, two-tone style originally supplied with the pistol. Includes extra magazine.
