Today we present for you two excellent finds, both restored by the renowned Steve Moeller several years ago, with charcoal blue metal finish work handled at that time by Turnbull Restoration. This example is a Colt Model of 1911 U.S. Navy bearing serial number 13312. This iconic service firearm left the Colt factory in 1912.
The .45 caliber pistol’s bluing and markings are in excellent condition, as are its period-correct reproduction walnut checkered grips. Sights are squared rear and straight front. Includes a restored type 2 magazine.
This restored Colt 1911 is a great example of Steve Moeller’s work.
