Parker CHE “Live Bird Gun”
Sold
Description
The grade 4 Parker was first labeled as a “Quality C” in 1882. This Parker CHE is quite a rare and unique shotgun. Factory production figures show a total of 44 CH grade, 16 gauge guns built with Titanic Steel barrels.
This particular CHE is one of only four CHE 16ga, guns fitted with 30″ Titanic Steel barrels. If being only one of four was not enough, this CHE was also ordered with the “no safety option”, commonly referred to as a “live bird gun”.
This rare Parker CHE has been fully restored to original condition, and looks just as it did the day it left the factory. Work included a complete metal restoration, stock restoration including a full checkering re-cut. The engraving has been re-cut using ink pulls taken from the gun prior to the polish work.
The barrels are finished in traditional Rust Blue and the receiver and forend metal is finished in original Bone Charcoal Color Case Hardening duplicating the original “Parker Colors”.
