Marlin 1894 Take-Down, Short Rifle
Sold
Description
This Marlin Model 1894 take-down has been fully restored with new 1X fancy stocks. The rifle has undergone a complete metal polish and restoration of all barrel and receiver markings. The metal finishes include color case hardening, rust blue and charcoal bluing. The new stocks are 1X fancy and are checkered with a Marlin No. B pattern. The barrel is a 20″ full octagon with a full length magazine tube.
The rifle is fit with an original Marlin combination receiver sight which was also restored. Notice the “Marlin Safety” marking missing from the top of the receiver. The marking was omitted from the factory when the rifle was ordered with the combination receiver sight. The sight would have partially covered the marking, and the mounting holes would have been drilled & taped in the middle of the marking. Marlin would never install a sight or drill and tap a receiver where the installation would obscure the factory markings. In the case of this rifle the marking was simply omitted.
