Description
Presented for you today is a used L.C. Smith Ideal Grade 12 Gauge. Carrying serial number R79905, this vintage shotgun is dated from 1925. Both 28″ and 30″ blued barrel sets are included.
This classic American side-by-side retains 70% of its original and bright color case hardening, worn to silver in its carried areas. Barrel condition is good overall for both barrel sets. They have excellent bore with typical age marks. They retain 80% of their original rust blue, with small areas of rust spots.
Wood condition is good for its age, and has been fitted with a period-correct recoil pad. Note that the wood appears to have received an additional coat of finish at some point in its life. Length of pull measures 14″. Drop to comb is 1.5″ while drop to heel is 2.75″.
30″ barrel chokes are full/full, white the 28″ barrel chokes are cylinder/modified.
