Description
Going into our showroom today is a very interesting find. This J.P. Sauer & Sohn Model 1913 is a 7.65mm Variant 2 carrying serial number 89178. This piece of German military history is in stock and ready to ship today.
The Model 1913, like all early Sauers, was manufactured to an extremely high standard. The Model 1913 was originally finished with a beautiful high polish rust blue. This example appears to have been reblued by a third party at some point in time and shows some wear marks, notably on left side. The proof mark on the back of the takedown cap is the crown over N marking. This German stamp indicates nitro or smokeless powder. The same proof, although worn, is also found on the right side of the receiver just behind the trigger.
The grips are hard rubber with the S&S (Sauer & Sohn) logo at the top. This military pistol includes a magazine, which is marked with “S&S 7,65”.
