Colt 1911, built in 1912. 1912 was the first actual year of production for the Model 1911. Professionally restored by Turnbull Restoration & Manufacturing Co. in 2002. High polish on all parts, which are charcoal blued. Nitre bluing on screws, trigger, slide stop, rear sight, thumb safety and magazine release. Only 2400 pistols were polished to this level before the US Government asked for a less shiny finish. This pistol was one of a shipment of 200 pistols sent to the Springfield Armory on February 15, 1912.
