Since the days of President Theodore Roosevelt’s African safaris, the Winchester Model 1895 has gone on to become recognized as a wonderful woods rifle, one with John M. Browning’s most innovative features and an interesting heritage.

The most distinctive feature of this ready-to-ship expression is the bone charcoal color case hardened receiver, hammer and finger lever lock. Color case hardening was very rare on the original 1895s, typically as a special order item. Rounding out the 95’s transformation is our tang safety conversion process, taking this example back to a half-cock safety as it was originally designed over a century ago. And last but not least, we refinish the factory American walnut stocks in a hand-rubbed oil finish to match Winchester’s classic red shading. Note that blued parts and wood checkering remains factory-original.

This is an excellent opportunity to add a distinctive example of the much-loved Winchester 1895 to your collection.
