Here we have a miniature of a Winchester 1866 rifle (1/3 scale) by David and Zavie Kucer of David Kucer Miniatures. Made by the makers of miniatures that have been on exhibit in numerous museums (The tower of London (England), Royal Ontario Museum, Montreal Museum of Fine Art).
Every part, every function is recreated in exacting detail. The lever, trigger, hammer, carrier block are fully functional. The cleaning rod is stored in the stock behind butt plate. The lever, hammer and trigger are color case hardened. The barrel, magazine tube, butt plate and forend cap are blued by Doug Turnbull Restoration. The stock is made from American walnut.
The fine box is burl walnut with Kucer crest and corners in nickel silver. The box top is held in place with magnets and is removable/stowable to allow for convenient display. Serial number 3.
There is no ammunition and no permits are required to own this fine piece of craftsmanship.
